Accessing MidJourney to generate images is a lot easier than you can imagine. You don’t need any programming code, it is rather accessed through a discord account. Below is the step-by-step guide to using MidJourney and generating art that doesn’t exist before.
Step 1: Create a Discord Account
MidJourney Bot is available on the discord server. Therefore the only requirement to access MidJourney is a discord account.
Step 2: Go to MidJourney WebPage and Join the Beta
Go to the MidJourney website using this link. You will see a blue colour page. Then click on the join beta shown in the below image.
Step 3: Join MidJourney Discord Server
After joining the beta, you will be invited to join the MidJourney discord. Accept the Invite to move further.
Step 4: Join Newcomer Room
A chatbox-like screen will appear in front of you. On the left side, you can find Newcomer Rooms, you can join any room to generate the images. In the below image, a few newcomer rooms can be seen in the yellow box.
Step 5: Enter the Text
After joining a newcomer room, you can type any text for which you want to generate the image. The text description should begin with /imagine. In the below image, the text description is “/imagine A red car with wings flying in the white sky”. Similarly, you can write a text of your choice in the input box shown in the yellow box.

Different parameters can be used in the description after /image. You can learn about the parameters from here. But the simple text is enough to create
Step 6: Get the Image from the Text
The MidJourney Bot will start generating images for your text description. It will start with 0% and go to 100%.
Below is the generated image by the MidJourney bot. It creates four images which can be referred to by 1,2 3,4. The boxes below U1-U4 and V1-V4 represent upscale and variation respectively.
V, variation: It is used to create more variations of a particular image.
U, upscale: It is used to upscale any of the four images.
Refresh: It is used to generate four new images for the same description.
Let us press V2 to generate different variations of the top right image.
Below are four more variations of the second image.
Lets us now try to upscale the 4th image. You can press U4.
Below is the upscaled version of the fourth image.
The images generated can be downloaded and used for any purpose without any copyright issues.
